Easily check for App Store updates in iTunes
Instead of mousing to the ‘Check For Updates’ text button at the bottom of the Apps section of iTunes 10, you can simply hit ⌘-R to run the check. Strangely, I cannot find this command anywhere iTunes’ menu system besides the main app menu, but that’s for checking on iTunes updates, not app updates. The Mac App Store quits when you close its window
If you close the Mac App Store’s window (either with ⌘-W or by clicking the window’s red close button), the app quits. Setting aside the recent debate over the relevance of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, it’s a fairly non-standard behavior for most first- and third-party apps.

Twitter for Mac and the three-finger swipe
Use a three-finger swipe over a tweet in Twitter 2 for Mac (previously known as Tweetie from Atebits) to visit its link, hastag, or conversation view. If there is more than one link or hashtag, though, you’ll still have to use the old ‘n busted mouse the click it.
