Anonymous asked: How can you alt-tab between windows like in Windows? For example, I know you can Command-Tab between PROGRAMS, but what about individual windows within a program -- such as multiple Word documents?

Shortcut: Hide all apps but this one
If you need to clear your desktop quickly, use ⌘-⌥-H (Hide Others) to hide all applications besides the one you are currently using. It’s basically the inside-out version of the ⌘-H (Hide) command, found under the application menu.

Finder: zoom into photo previews in Columns view
In the Finder’s Columns view, you can Option-click a photo in the Preview column on the right to zoom into it. You can then use two-finder gestures to pan around, Option-click to zoom in further, and Option-Shift-click to zoom back out. This works on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Anyone have word on previous versions? via Cabel Sasser

Holding option will reveal extra options in different menu bar menus. For example: in the Apple menu, “About This Mac” will change to “System Profiler” and in the sound menu holding option will reveal options to change the output and input device. Option clicking the battery symbol will show the condition of your battery and finally, option clicking the Time Machine will...

While playing a movie in QuickTime X, if you use the mouse or keyboard to control playback, you see the default controller HUD. But if you use the Apple Remote, it will show you the much larger “10-foot” Front Row controller instead.

iPhoto '11 uses black tooltips
iPhoto ‘11 uses black, translucent tooltips instead of the system-wide yellow ones. The new style fits the overall appearance of iPhoto much better. It my also be a sign of things to come in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
