Snow Leopard: Quick Look supports Illustrator CS4 files

Quick Look in Snow Leopard now supports previewing Adobe Illustrator CS4 files, making them much easier to identify. In Leopard, Quick Look would only show the Illustrator application icon.

  1. Does it do this by default, because QuickLook on my Snow Leopard install still only shows the CS4 application icon.

  3. Doesn’t work for me either.

  4. For me, it works completely by default. There weren’t any settings I changed in the Finder or in Illustrator. I had CS4 already installed on Leopard before upgrading to Snow Leopard.

I’m trying to think back to the day that I installed Snow Leopard, and the only thing I can think of is that maybe I had to hit space bar while an Illustrator icon was selected for it to launch Quick Look. This may have been what triggered the Finder to show the previews.

  5. If you have installed the Illustrator Quick Loock, move it to the trash, and now your Snow Leopard will show your illustrator files.
